Charity medical
online help

Our online consultation platform MedHelp Portugal, together with the All Portugal Association, is launching a charity programme to support those who need medical care but are temporarily unable to pay for it.
We are committed to making quality health care accessible to everyone, regardless of life circumstances.

The programme focuses on supporting the following categories of patients:
1. Patients with low income or temporary financial difficulties. These may be people without a stable income, working in low-paid jobs or facing temporary financial difficulties.
2. Patients who have difficulty accessing health services. For example, expats who find it difficult to access health care in Portugal due to language barriers, cultural differences or unfamiliarity with the local health care system.
3. people in emergency situations or special circumstances. These may be patients who have suddenly lost their jobs, had serious accidents or have illnesses that limit their ability to work.
4. Patients with chronic illnesses who need support. These are patients who require regular follow-up and treatment adjustments but cannot afford to pay for counselling on an ongoing basis.
Each patient can receive up to 2 free consultations per month as part of the charity's programme.
Each consultation lasts up to 30 minutes and may include prescription, diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
Patients can benefit from the programme for 2 months, after which their situation can be reviewed for possible extension of assistance.

-
Acknowledge the need for assistance. Applicants describe their circumstances and the reasons why they need help.
-
Confirm your identity. The applicant provides basic data so that we can verify that the assistance is addressed to a specific person.
-
State the reason for the application. It is important to describe the situation in detail, e.g. temporary financial difficulties, chronic illness or unemployment status. If there are additional documents to prove the need for help, it is advisable to attach them.
-
The application is submitted via a special form on the website.
-
Association representatives can be contacted for advice on the application process if required.
